Our Policies
In order to make your stay with us as enjoyable as possible, we wanted to share with you our B & B policies.
Reservations
In order to secure your reservation, we will need a credit card number on file. You can do this either through our online reservation system, which will ask you for your credit card number, or you can give us your credit card number over the phone. Our cancellation policy is as follows: we require a one week notice of cancellation, and if you cancel within this timeframe we will release your room and your card will not be charged. If you do cancel within 6 days or less of your visit we will charge your card for the day(s) you reserved unless we are able to re-book your room, in which case your card will not be charged.
Check-In/Check-Out Times
Check-in at the Aurora Leigh Bed & Breakfast is 3:00. We offer our High Tea at 4:00, so by then, hopefully, you have had a chance to settle into your room and orient yourself to Lock Haven. Check-out time is 12:00; however if you need a later check-out, please let us know as soon as possible so we can accommodate your request.
Breakfast
We serve an elegant 3-course breakfast at 9:00 each morning. Breakfast hours are from 9:00 to 10:00. If you need your breakfast earlier, please let us know so we can accommodate your request. For early risers, coffee and morning pastries will be ready is at 6:30 am at the Guest Buffet on the second floor. Guests may invite visitors to join them for breakfast; however there will be a $10 breakfast guest fee for each visitor and we will need to know the night before if you will be inviting a visitor to breakfast.
Housekeeping
Housekeeping hours are from 11:00 to 3:00. Our housekeeping staff works hard to keep your room clean every day. But you can help by helping us conserve energy and resources through Our Green Program.
Our Green Program
In an effort to better serve the environment and conserve Mother Earth's precious resources, we ask that you join us in our "Conserve to Preserve" efforts. We are committed to energy and resource conservation. Every day, tons of detergent and millions of gallons of water are used to wash towels and bed linens which have only been used once.
Here's how you can help:A towel on the rack means "I'll use it again."
A towel on the floor means "Please exchange."
If during your stay you need extra towels, please ask.
If during your stay you wish your bed linen to be changed, please ask; otherwise we will launder your bed linen upon your departure.
Temperature Controls
In an effort to ensure that the Aurora Leigh Bed & Breakfast is energy conscious, we have zoned our heating and cooling system. The temperature in your room is controlled by your room thermostat. When you arrive, you will find it set at a comfortable temperature (68-70 degrees). Of course you can set it to whatever temperature makes you feel comfortable. We ask only that you be aware of the temperature setting.
Keys
We will provide you with one set of keys upon your arrival. Your key set will contain your room key and a key to the front door on an engraved silver key chain. Please make sure you return your keys on the morning of your departure. (The cost of replacing your key set is $45.)
Concierge Services
Our concierge staff can assist you with many services including sightseeing tours, transportation tours, local theatre tickets (The Mill Brook Playhouse, The Williamsport Community Theatre), outdoor activities (hiking, canoeing, kayaking, etc.), restaurant reservations, florists, etc. If you have any special needs or requests please feel free to contact us prior to your arrival. Children
Well-behaved children are always welcome at the Aurora Leigh Bed & Breakfast. If your children are 10 or younger, we ask that you help them keep their hands to themselves, for there are many decorative (and potentially breakable) antiques throughout the house. We can provide you with a roll-away bed for your youngster that will fit comfortably in any of our rooms. (There will be a $15 surcharge for the roll-away.) Also, our Pemberley Suite has a Queen Bed and a day bed/trundle bed that sleeps four adults comfortably and which would be perfect if you have 2-3 children.
Pets
At this time we are unable to accommodate pets at the Aurora Leigh Bed & Breakfast. However, we can arrange for your pet to stay at Sit N' Play, a local pet boarding facility, while you are vacationing the area.
Parking
The Aurora Leigh Bed & Breakfast has off-street parking for all guests. Just pull up to one of the four antique horse-head hitching posts.
Our Guest Rooms
We have four guest rooms: The Kingsbere Room, The Mandalay Room, The Saint Ive's Room, and The Pemberley Suite. Use of each guest room is limited to our guests and their visitors.
Common Guest Areas
Guest Areas include the four great rooms on the first floor, the hallway and the library on the second floor, the front porch and the side porch. Use of these areas is limited to our guests and their visitors.
Smoking
The Aurora Leigh Bed & Breakfast is a smoke-free environment. Each room is wired with an electronic smoke detector, in case of fire. Please DO NOT smoke in your room, as it will set off the smoke detector alarms throughout the entire house. If you do smoke inside, wwe ill need to charge you a $350 room cleaning fee. So please enjoy your cigarettes at the smoking station in our parking lot.
Emergencies
During an emergency which requires vacating the premises, please follow the emergency lighting to the nearest exit.
Internet Use Policy
We provide wireless Internet access for all guests; however, we use a content filter to prevent access to unacceptable websites. We also have a single computer work station in our Red Room Library for guest use.

For all guests who use a company credit card to pay for their Aurora Leigh experience, it is important to note that all credit card and bank card users are protected under The Fair Credit Billing Act, which states that your bank cannot hold you liable for more than $50.00 of fraudulent charges on your Bank Card. Many banks do not hold you liable for even this amount. In accordance with your Bank Card provider's stated rules, regulations, and terms, you should immediately notify them if there is any unauthorized use of your Bank Card. You should always review your Bank Card provider's rules and regulations before using their Credit Card.

We do not share personal or sales information with third parties, and we do not sell or rent any of your personally identifiable information to anyone.
